\r\nWhy do I keep associating the anti-sustainability astroturf talking points\r\nwith ALEC?\r\nBecause ALEC's "our state legislators" were promoting them at Georgia's Capitol.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\"ALEC<\/a>\r\n\r\n\"Chip<\/a>\r\nTwo out of three of\r\nthe Georgia legislators Jim Galloway named in\r\n\r\nGeorgia's own 52-minute video on the \u2018Agenda 21\u2019 conspiracy<\/a>,\r\nnamely\r\n\r\nChip Rogers and Barry Loudermilk,\r\nare associated with ALEC.<\/a>\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nSenate Majority Leader (now former) Chip Rogers (R-21)\r\nhas been ALEC's State Chaimran for Georgia and received ALEC's\r\n2011 State Chair of the year Award.\r\nSurely you remember him!\r\nRogers\r\n\r\nsponsored both misleading amendment 1 ("charter schools") and\r\nmisleading amendment 2 ("multi-year contracts")<\/a> on this year's ballot.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n\"Barry<\/a>\r\nRep. Barry D. Loudermilk (R-14) is on ALEC's\r\nTelecommunications and Information Technology Task Force.\r\nHow convenient that Loudermilk is the\r\n\r\nSecretary of the Georgia\r\nEnergy, Utilities & Telecommunications Committee<\/a>!\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nSo there is at least a convergence of ALEC's "our state legislators"\r\nand those pushing this anti-sustainability agenda.\r\nThis is not surprising, since ALEC is opposed to clean, sustainable energy,\r\nas confirmed by\r\n\r\nALEC's own attempt to rebut that point.<\/a>\r\nA rebuttal that brought to light ALEC's phrase "our state legislators".\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nI see Loudermilk is a sponsor of a bill called the\r\n\r\nGeorgia Government Accountability Act<\/a>,\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\n

This article is meant to ensure that the valuable resources of the\r\nstate are best utilized and that state agencies are held accountable\r\nfor their service to the public and responsiveness to the needs of\r\nthe citizens of this state.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\nMaybe the citizens of this state (or at least of Loudermilk's district)\r\nshould elect somebody who is responsive to the needs of the citizens\r\ninstead of to ALEC.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nHowever, the specific anti-Agenda-21 and fake-Delphi-method talking points\r\ndo not seem to appear in ALEC's copious resource documents.\r\nSo where are they coming from?\r\n<\/p>\r\n
