\nHe’d prefer SPLOST being spent first on sidewalks
\nthan on moving the library where people would have
\nto go farther to get to it.
\nAlso, like many of us, he’s tired of a few people controlling
\nthe purse-strings without input from the rest of us.
\nHe gave an example:\n<\/p>\n

\nMr. Patrick here at the library said before when I talked about renovating the building;
\nhe had more information, he talked about the slab the library is built on;
\nhe talked about the roof; he talked about the leaks in it.
\nWell, I don’t know about that.
\nOften I may speak about something I don’t know about.
\nOnce I become informed about it, maybe I can change my decision.\n<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>
\nBut right now I don’t have enough information
\nto make me vote for SPLOST
\nunless somebody put some
\nguarantees up
\nthat the people who are the most deserving and that most need that money
\nin their community
\non the low-economic side of this town, who have been crying out for years,
\nfor decades, really, to get something done,
\nyou know, it’s just that simple.\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\nGeorge also wondered why the VDT,
\nwhose managing editor Kay Harris also chairs the library board meetings,
\npublished nothing about the three citizens
\nwho spoke at the Valdosta City Council meeting the other night.

\n<\/a>
\nAnd what about the elections irregularities in Brooks County that
\n
\nbrought the Georgia Secretary of State to Quitman<\/a>?
\nWhy was nothing published about that in the VDT?\n<\/p>\n

\nSomebody got to tell the truth!\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
