\r\n<\/a>\r\nSo many things the Industrial Authority is doing that they could be promoting!\r\nSome of them came out at their\r\n\r\n16 April 2013 Board Meeting.<\/a>\r\nMaybe they even took notes about the Georgia Logistics Summit putting all its presentations on its YouTube channel.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nIn her\r\n\r\nMarketing Report<\/a>, Meghan Duke said\r\nbranded materials were now available and in use.\r\n\r\nValdostalowndesprospector.com<\/a> has new feature for comparison of features\r\nby county, city, etc. for any community in the world.\r\nSeveral recent guests, including\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\n\r\nGeorgia Power South Region<\/a>,\r\nwhom VLCIA took on a tour of their industrial parks and Steeda Autosports.\r\nVLCIA hosted Board of GA Dept. of Economic Development at Moody AFB.\r\nShe didn’t say, but GDEcD Board of Directors<\/a> says:\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nGeorgia Department of Economic Development’s Board of Director’s\r\nmeeting will be held in February 21st, 2013 at Moody AFB, 1800 Moody\r\nRoad, Valdosta, GA 31601. Due to security on base you will need to\r\nhave a government (state, federal, etc.) issued ID, such as a\r\ndriver’s license, with you before you can enter the base. A\r\nbackground check with need to be ran prior to the meeting day so\r\nplease contact Carrie Bisig & she will let you know what information\r\nthe base will need.\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\n\r\nVLCIA had a community presentation in Atlanta with \r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nproject managers\r\nat the end of February, with Mary Gooding,\r\nValdosta Mayor and Manager, Lowndes County Chairman and Manager.\r\nI don’t know what that was about, unless she was referring to the\r\n\r\nBird Supper<\/a>\r\n27 February 2013 at The Depot in Atlanta;\r\nI saw her and all the people she named there.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\nCol. Ricketts and Ms. Dukes attended the\r\n\r\nGeorgia Logistics Summit<\/a>\r\nwith eight representatives from existing industries and community leaders.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\n<\/a>\r\nIt was a great time for our logistics and distribution industries here\r\nin Valdosta to go hear from some leaders from the state and from other\r\norganizations on best practices.\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\nThis Logistics Summit was apparently a big deal, judging by the\r\nGovernor was a speaker and the companies that presented.\r\nAnd look, they video and post their sessions on\r\n\r\ntheir YouTube channel<\/a>!\r\nMaybe VLCIA could take notes about….\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nVLCIA was working on South Georgia Classic,\r\nwhich is all this week. She didn’t say, but it’s 22-28 April 2013, at\r\n\r\nKinderlou Forest Golf Club<\/a>.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nVLCIA took Steeda to the\r\n\r\nGo Global<\/a>\r\nreception in Atlanta where they networked with Chinese representatives.\r\nShe didn’t say, but that was 26 March 2013 at the\r\nWoodruff Arts Center in Midtown Atlanta.\r\nVLCIA did post a report (undated) on that,\r\n\r\nSteeda Autosports Attends Go Global Seminar to Discuss International Trade Opportunities<\/a>,\r\nwhich begins:\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nThe Valdosta-Lowndes County Industrial Authority (VLCIA) with Dario\r\nOrlando President, President of Steeda Autosports attended the The\r\nGeorgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) International Trade\r\nTeam\u2019s Global Market Insights seminar with 10 International Directors\r\nfrom overseas offices, including; Brazil, Canada, China, Chile, Europe,\r\nIsrael, Japan, Korea, Mexico and the United Kingdom.\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n
