If I have my way, the MAZ will be strengthened\nin the areas closer to the base while easing development\nrestrictions in the areas furthest away. Even a cursory glance at\nthe ULDC and MAZ 1-3 reveals certain issues which must be addressed\nin an effort to be equitable.\n<\/p>\n
\nthat adjusting the MAZ at all\nequals a disdain or lack of affection or appreciation for all that\nMAFB brings to Lowndes County. Moody Air Force Base grants this\nCounty a distinctive which other communities envy. The proposed text\namendments are no more or less complicated than this: we have an\nordinance which needs to be reviewed and adjusted in order to more\nequitable land use policy.\n<\/p>\n\nRegarding Mr. Joyner, I must admit that I’m a little lost as I am\nnot aware of previous Commissions’ relationship to him. It is not unusual for Chairman Paulk to weigh in on whether or\nnot we should table an item. Often times he is in a unique position\nto give an informed opinion and in this case I concur.\n<\/p>\n
