Quite a difference from when aunt Jane and I used to have to try to guess\nwhen the caretaker would be in to look up who was buried where, or just\nstomp around until we found the marker.\n<p>\nWhat&#8217;s Sunset Hill, you may wonder?\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.valdostacity.com\/Index.aspx?page=462\">\nAbout Sunset Hill Cemetery<\/a>:\n\n<!--more-->\n<blockquote>\nEstablished in 1861, the year following the city\u2019s incorporation, Sunset Hill Cemetery is Valdosta\u2019s oldest publicly-owned cemetery. Charles Ogden Force (1823-1892), former postmaster and progressive citizen, donated thirty acres to the City for use as community burial grounds. Simply called the \u201cCity Cemetery\u201d or \u201cour cemetery\u201d then, the property donated by Mr. Force was ideally situated one mile northwest of Valdosta\u2019s downtown.
