\nMeanwhile, is that it?\nWill the plant be built?\nNot necessarily:\n\n\n

\nThis Permit is conditioned upon compliance with all provisions of The\nGeorgia Air Quality Act, O.C.G.A. Section 12-9-1, et seq, the Rules,\nChapter 391-3-1, adopted and in effect under that Act, or any other\ncondition of this Permit.\n

\nThis Permit may be subject to revocation, suspension, modification or\namendment by the Director for cause including evidence of noncompliance\nwith any of the above; or for any misrepresentation made in Application\nNo. 19407 dated December 16, 2009; any other applications upon which this\nPermit is based; supporting data entered therein or attached thereto;\nor any subsequent submittals or supporting data; or for any alterations\naffecting the emissions from this source.\n

\nThis Permit is further subject to and conditioned upon the terms,\nconditions, limitations, standards, or schedules contained in or specified\non the attached 14 pages.\n<\/blockquote>\nThat last includes the conditions the Lowndes County Board of Commissioners\n\nplaced on the plant when they approved rezoning for it.<\/a>\n

\nAnd remember \nGretna, Florida, where a biomass plant had jumped through all the regulatory\nhoops and was still not built because local opposition was strong enough\nthat the investors pulled out.<\/a>\nRemember \nTraverse City, Michigan, where local opposition caused the electrical utility board to shelve the project.<\/a>\n

\nIt’s never too late to reregulate our minds.<\/a>\n
