Under the Contract, the County has agreed to levy and\r\ncollect an annual tax on all taxable property located within the County\r\nas may be necessary to produce in each year revenues which are sufficient\r\nto make the payments required by the Contract.\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>\r\nSo which is it?\r\n\r\n<!--more-->\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\nCompletely (100%) paid for by SPLOST and zero dollars ($0) balance owed,\r\nas stated by Joe Pritchard for the county in November 2010?\r\nOr almost nine million dollars ($8,965,000) in bonds, interest to be paid with\r\nproperty taxes, as stated by the Morgan Keegan document in November 2012?\r\n<\/p>\r\n<a title=\"Joe Pritchard in the flyer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/98706376@N00\/8271562531\/sizes\/z\/\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border:none;\" class=\"at-xid-6a0120a58214e4970b017ee63e7119970d\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b017ee63e7119970d-pi.jpg\"  alt=\"Joe Pritchard in the flyer\" \/><\/a>\r\n<p>\r\nAll four current elected County Commissioners are listed in that 2012 document.\r\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/12\/videos-lcc-2012-12-11.html#Bonds\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" class=\"at-xid-6a0120a58214e4970b017ee63e7115970d\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b017ee63e7115970d-pi.jpg\"    \/><\/a>\r\nAll three of the elected Commissioners\r\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/12\/videos-lcc-2012-12-11.html#Bonds\">\r\njust voted Tuesday evening<\/a> on these refinancing bonds,\r\nand Chairman Ashley Paulk recommended they do so.\r\nCrawford Powell is listed twice, once as an elected Commissioner,\r\nand once as one of the\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2012\/12\/refinancing-bonds-and-the-public-facilities-authority-lcc-2012-12-10.html\">\r\nfive appointed members of the\r\nLowndes County Public Facilities Authority.<\/a>\r\nPowell voted on these bonds twice, once at 4PM for that Authority,\r\nand once at the 5:30 PM Lowndes County Commission meeting.\r\nAlso listed in the document as County Manager is Joe Pritchard.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nPerhaps some of these elected or appointed or employed county officials\r\ncould tell us what&#8217;s going on?\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n-jsq\r\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"If Lowndes County owed $0 (zero dollars) on the county palace in November 2010, why are we paying on $8,965,000 in bonds for it in December 2012?
