\nSo there’s actually not any new study of wood sourcing\n(Brad Lofton told me after the meeting that the study had been “completed”\nafter we met in June),\nand the study that exists is not publicly available.\nSomeone from Sterling promised me after the meeting to redact the\nprivate parts of the wood sourcing study and provide the rest\nfor public distribution. We’ll see.\n

\nRegarding my question about who will buy the electricity and\nwhether we’ll end up like Plant Scherer, selling electricity\nto Florida while keeping the pollution here, the answer was:\n\n\n

\n“It will be in-state.\nWe are in negotiations with several\nof the power companies in-state,\nincluding the Green Power EMC.”\n<\/blockquote>\nSo we don’t know where the wood will come from and we don’t\nknow who will buy the electricity.\n

\nAs I mentioned,\nthe air quality permit application and the final air quality construction\npermit are available on the\n\nLAKE web pages.<\/a>\n\n<\/a>\nA video of the air quality permit hearing is available\n\non LAKE’s vimeo channel.<\/a>\nThe question about an environmental impact statement starts at 00:32:11\nin that video.\n

\nHere’s a discussion of what changed my mind about the biomass plant:\nthe CO2<\/sub> document that VLCIA alleged proved\nthe plant is carbon neutral<\/a>, when it does no such thing.\n
