\r\nThree Valdosta cases and one Lowndes County case were discussed\r\nyesterday evening\r\nat the\r\nWork Session \r\nof the Greater Lowndes Planning Commission (GLPC).\r\n

\r\nGLPC will vote on its recommendations at its Regular Session,\r\nnext Monday, November 24, 2025, at 5:30 PM.\r\n

\r\nThe actual decisions will be made by the Valdosta City Council and the Lowndes County Commission; see the GLPC agenda for when and where.\r\n

\r\nThe first case was confusing:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n3. CU-2025-09 Mary Pierce, 809 1\/2 Nardo Street, CUP for a mobile home in R-6<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nAll the lots are slanted.\r\nThe applicant wants to slide in a custom-built single-wide mobile home with the front door in one end facing the street, where it just fits by the only other two mobile homes on the street.\r\n

\r\nAtlanta Gas Light (AGL) wants to\r\nbuy some property\r\n\r\n4. VA-2025-13 AGL NW corner of Inner Perimeter and US 84 E<\/a>\r\n 45.6 acres,\r\nto rezone from R-15 – R-P to C-H\r\nfor a tank farm to supply nearby industry.\r\nIf I’m not mistaken, that’s feeding from the same AGL pipeline that starts on my property.\r\nHow about the city build solar panels and batteries instead?\r\n

\r\nThe other two cases seemed less confusing or contentious.\r\n
