Oregon is joining the\ntrend, thanks to regulations that took effect Jan. 1.\n<p>\nThe\nPortland branch of a national solar company unveiled a <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.solarcity.com\/pressreleases\/77\/SolarCity-Introduces-First-Residential-Solar-Lease-in-Oregon.aspx\">lease\nprogram<\/A> Tuesday enabling homeowners to put up panels\nfor low monthly payments, cutting their electricity bills\nand carbon footprints. At least one other contractor, a local\ncompany, is developing similar products.\n<p>\nManagers of <A\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.solarcity.com\/\">SolarCity<\/A>, a California-based\ncompany, say Oregon homeowners can go solar for as little as $20\na month with no up-front costs.
