\r\nSince \r\nLAKE posted<\/a> the VDT notice of the SPLOST IX Special Called Meeting for this afternoon,\r\nan agenda and agenda sheet have popped up on LowndesCounty.com.\r\n

\r\nThey’ve been working on this SPLOST IX Agreement since April,\r\nyet they couldn’t discuss it during a regularly-scheduled meeting,\r\nnor tell the tax-paying public what’s on the project list?\r\n

      \r\nCOUNTY ACTION REQUESTED ON: SPLOST IX Agreement\r\n

      \r\n

      \r\nHISTORY, FACTS AND ISSUES: On April 23, 2025, Lowndes County met\r\nwith the Cities of Valdosta, Hahira, Remerton, Lake Park and Dasher\r\nto discuss SPLOST IX.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

      \r\nFollowing that meeting, the attached SPLOST IX Agreement between the\r\nCounty and the Cities has been prepared for consideration. Exhibit A\r\nto the Agreement is the lists of county and city projects.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

      \r\nIf approved by the County, the Agreement will be forwarded to the\r\nCities for consideration.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

      \r\nOPTIONS: 1. Approve and authorize Chairman Slaughter to sign the Agreement as presented\r\n
      \r\n2. Redirect\r\n

      \r\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Option 1\r\n
