I will continue do so at future events, if\nI have something new to share. The issue may have always been “biomass”,\nbut WACE has shared new information through the months as it relates to\nthe health risks associated with the proposed biomass incinerator, as\nwell as other aspects ranging from economic concerns to ecological\nconsiderations. In addition, we have exposed the various inaccurate\nstatements made by members of the Industrial Authority. Here, too, we\nwill continue our work.\n
\nFor the information of everyone copied on this email, I scanned in\n\nthe message you perceived as a threat from Mr. Anderson,<\/a>\nsince you shared a\ncopy with me. More and more people in our community\nare waking up to that reality and are demanding that our elected\nofficials finally do what is best for our community: to stop the\nbiomass plant.\n
\nThe proposed biomass plant was made possible only by the rezoning of\nthe land. The plant can only function if the city decides to sell\nwater for the cooling of the boiler. And the plant is only possible as\nlong as the Industrial Authority and its board members (appointed by\nthe county commission and the city council) insist on continuing with\nthis project.\n
\nI seriously have to question the ‘due diligence’ conducted for this\nproject when there were no environmental or ecological impact studies\ndone, and apparently not even a decent economic impact analysis, based\non the presentation at the panel organized by the Industrial Authority.\n
\nWACE has provided a plethora of information by now which should make\nit clear that it is not only in the interest of our communal health,\nbut also important for ecological and economic reasons to stop this\nproject.\n
\nBest regards, Michael G.
