\nThe leader of a metro Atlanta electric co-op was indicted last week on\n31 counts of criminal wrongdoing, heightening concerns about planned\ncoal-fired power plants that he’s played a key role in promoting.\n

\nDwight Brown (in mugshot), president and CEO of Cobb Electric Membership\nCorp., faces 16 counts of theft, three counts of racketeering, 10\ncounts of making false statements, and one count each of conspiracy to\ndefraud the Cobb County government and the Cobb County school district,\naccording to the Marietta Daily Journal. Brown’s attorney says his client\nis innocent.\n<\/blockquote>\nInnocent until proven guilty, and it will be interesting to see how this\nplays out.\n
