Quarterman<\/a>\r\nthanked the Chairman for paddling in the Mayor and Chairmans Paddle by Suwannee Riverkeeper.\r\nHe provide dates for the 2026 paddle.\r\nHe invited everyone to a chainsaw cleanup on the Withlacoochee River,\r\nand to the WWALS River Revue including the Suwannee Riverkeeper Songwriting Contest.\r\n<p>\r\n<a href=\"#CWTBH-Jamie-Parks\">\r\nJamie Parks, 106 E Grace Street, Hahira<\/a>,\r\nsaid on behalf of some people he had been trying to get a rezoning on\r\non Horace Ave. off of Madison Highway next to Mud Creek,\r\nwhich he needed to get the Army Corps to delineate the floodplain.\r\nChairman Bill Slaughter said they would look into it.\r\n<p>\r\nBelow are links to each LAKE video of each agenda item or speaker,\r\nwith some notes by John S. Already lost some woods on the front.\r\n<br>\r\nWere trapped in recent floods.\r\n<br>\r\nMajor concern of where water will go if subject property is clearcut.\r\n<br>\r\nAlready worried about the clearcut across North Valdosta Road,\r\n<br>\r\nand loss of trees across Valdosta due to the hurricanes.\r\n<br>\r\nConcerned about flood insurance.\r\n<br>\r\nPlus not knowing what might be built on the subject property.\r\n<br>\r\nAlso it&#8217;s adjacent to Langdale Park.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\n<br>\r\n<\/p>\r\n<li>\r\n<a name=\"REZ-2025-11-Part-2-Part-3-Part-4\" href=\"#REZ-2025-11-Part-2-Part-3-Part-4\">\r\n5.b. Also infrastructure limitations that he doesn&#8217;t think they actually have, with utilities available from the county side.\r\nAlso woodlands, trees, and the wind.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nBut &ldquo;me personally, we have a responsability to the property owner&#8230;.&rdquo;\r\n&ldquo;I feel like we can&#8217;t deny a man to do what he wishes with his property when\r\nthe arguments are we don&#8217;t want to lose the trees because of protection\r\nfrom heavy winds and I&#8217;m big on individual property owner rights as long as it doesn&#8217;t negatively affect the neighbors.&rdquo;\r\nHe didn&#8217;t think there would be such a negative effect.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nChairman Bill Slaughter pointed out that the property owner could cut every tree on the entire property [without any need for rezoning].\r\nHe reiterated he appreciated everybody who came and spoke.\r\nHe said all the state concerns were being considered.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nHe noted that a property owner across North Valdosta Road had clearcut.\r\nAlthough he was prevented from pulling the stumps.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nCommissioner Orenstein said regarding traffic, he had always though of retail along Coleman Road. He thought other possible rezonings would be more intrusive than what was being considered.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nCommissioner Demarcus Marshall said his concern was some of the conditions overlapped.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nThe Chairman said County Planner JD Dillard had addressed that earlier, when he noted that the conditions had been designed to stand alone even if others were removed.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nCommissioner Orenstein moved to approve with the seven conditions. Commissioner Marshall seconded. All aye. The motion passed and the rezoning was approved.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<li>\r\n<a name=\"beer\" href=\"#beer\">\r\n6.a.
