\r\nIt is mysterious why\r\n\r\n7.b. Val Del Rd and N. Valdosta Rd. Intersection improvement<\/a> was only\r\n\r\nadded in this Regular Session<\/a> of the Lowndes County Commission.\r\nThey’ve been leading up to it for a long time.\r\nApparently the two bids were only opened the previous day;\r\nI thought bid openings were scheduled.\r\n

\r\nIn this meeting, they talked about that intersection for almost seven minutes,\r\nwhich is very long for this body.\r\nThe intersection will completely close starting May 27,\r\nprobably for most of the summer.\r\nIt will end up with two lanes going north, and three lanes going south: one left only, one left or straight, one right only.\r\n

\r\nCounty Manager Paige Dukes had several people talk about their topics in\r\n\r\n8. Reports – County Manager<\/a>.\r\nShe also introduced Garry Dodard, the Community Initiatives Office from Moody AFB.\r\n

\r\nIn Citizens Wishing to be Heard,\r\n\r\nKelly Saxon talked about Second Chance Month<\/a>.\r\n
