\r\nThis Work Session was long by Lowndes County Commission standards,\r\nmore than half an hour.\r\n

\r\nAlmost half of that, 13 and a half minutes, was on\r\n\r\n7.c. REZ-2024-08 River Road, 4374 River Road<\/a>,\r\nmostly about spacing between houses and fire risk.\r\n

\r\nAnother five minutes was on\r\n\r\n7.d. REZ-2024-09 Dasher Grove<\/a>,\r\nabout the timeline for Val Del Road improvements.\r\n

\r\nNotice the Val Del Road improvements are TIA projects, which means tax-paid road improvements to benefit a private developer.\r\nYet this and other such rezonings appear in the agenda as “BUDGET IMPACT: NA”.\r\n

\r\nCommissioner Mark Wisenbaker asked if the packet materials could be projected on the screen for\r\n\r\n6.a. Appointment – Hospital Authority of Valdosta and Lowndes County<\/a>.\r\nITS Director Aaron Kostyu<\/a> said he did not have the ability to do that.\r\n

\r\nWell, the County Planner manages to project all the materials for the rezonings.\r\nWhy can’t the ITS Director project materials for other board agenda items?\r\n

\r\nOr the County Commissioners can look at the LAKE website, I suppose.\r\n

\r\nOr county staff could put the board packet on the county’s own website.\r\n

\r\nEither way, the Commissioners could use the Internet to look at it on their tablets.\r\n

\r\nThe Commissioners could just direct staff to put the packet on the county’s website.\r\n

\r\nCommissioners also had some questions about why the increases in\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n8.b. Pronto Consulting, LLC Agreement, Amended Schedule A<\/a>.\r\n

\r\n\r\nCounty Manager Paige Dukes announced<\/a> that staff were all wearing the VSU colors\r\nof red and black to congratulate\r\nScottie Orenstein on for graduating with a degree in Organizational Leadership.\r\n
