Robert Carter\nwas honored by a variety of local dignitaries at the\nannual Lake Park Chamber of Commerce (LPCoC) dinner.\nSpeakers included\n\nCrawford Powell,<\/a> former LPCoC chair and current County Commissioner\nfor District 3, Carter’s old district,\n\nRichard Lee,<\/a> former County Commissioner for District 2,\n\nJoyce Evans<\/a>, current County Commissioner for District 1,\n\nJoe Pritchard<\/a>, County Manager, and\nCrawford Powell again, on\n\nLifting the next generation higher,<\/a>\nand on\n\na framed picture of G. Robert Carter.<\/a>\n

\nThe honoree\n\nspoke briefly,<\/a>\nand\n\nthe Chamber presented him his award.<\/a>\n

\nTwo later speakers also lauded Carter:\n\nBen Copeland, former Chairman, Wiregrass Technical College<\/a>,\nand \nBrad Lofton, Executive Director of the Valdosta-Lowndes County Industrial Authority.<\/a>\n
