Mental Health Model Resolution for ACCG -->\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/OwxKc2TbR3E\">Video.<\/a>\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nAccording to Lowndes County Manager Paige Dukes,\r\nACCG is asking every Georgia county to adopt this resolution to show collected and consolidated support to the Georgia General Assembly.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nCounty Commissioner Mark Wisenbaker wanted to know if we know the details of what ACCG wants the legislature to do.\r\nA: Not yet.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nHe hoped for relief for our jails.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nThe County Manager said that in jail, prisoners cannot be required to take medication, while in prison they can.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nChairman Bill Slaughter said since the state made changes 10+ years ago, mental health issues come up short being addressed in local communities,\r\nbecause local agencies are very limited in services they can supply.\r\nHe hopes the state will take a harder look at it.\r\nHe noted that with addictions it&#8217;s a life-long process.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<li>\r\n<a name=\"Purchase-of-Wetland-Credits-for-Shiloh-Road-Bridge-Project\" href=\"#Purchase-of-Wetland-Credits-for-Shiloh-Road-Bridge-Project\">\r\n5.c.
