\r\nThis week the Lowndes County Commission proposes to authorize spending $4.5 million on road projects,\r\nplus golf carts for the Quiet Pine Golf Course at Moody AFB that the county now operates.\r\n

\r\nPerhaps a longer search would find information on the county website\r\nabout the\r\nPurchase of Wetland Credits for Shiloh Road Bridge Project<\/a>.\r\nAt least we can say what it is a bridge (or box culvert) over:\r\nBig Creek, which runs into Franks Creek, which ends up in the Little River.\r\n

\r\n\r\n\"[Shiloh<\/a>\r\n
Shiloh Road Bridge<\/a> in\r\nthe WWALS\r\n\r\nmap of the Withlacoochee and Little River Water Trail (WLRWT)<\/a>.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nHowever, the Lowndes County Finance Department has a Bids<\/a> web page that leads to specifics on each bid,\r\nincluding for the\r\nGrove Point Lift Station<\/a>,\r\nBriggston Road<\/a>,\r\nRocky Hill Church Road<\/a>,\r\nand\r\nFire Rescue Station 10<\/a> projects.\r\nThree of them include a location map and engineering drawings.\r\nThe exception is for Fire Station 10, but its\r\nBid Documents<\/a>\r\ndo reveal the location of that fire station: 2981 US Hwy 84 East, Valdosta, Georgia.\r\n

\r\nCopies of all these documents and images of their pages are on \r\nthe LAKE website<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nWe do not have a copy of the board packet, because I forgot to send the open records request.\r\n

\r\nAlthough it is still mysterious why the board packet is not on the county’s webiste where they have an option “packet” that only produces the agenda and an agenda sheet for each item.\r\n
