\n8. Reports<\/a>,
\nCounty Manager Paige Dukes said for the tire amnesty starting that day (yesterday),
\npeople could take tires to either the county or city locations.
\nOrdinary vehicle tires, not for tractors or semi-trucks.<\/p>\n

\nShe said the tax assessment notices will go out mid-May.
\nThere will be some increases, since<\/p>\n

many things had not been updated for years.
\nShe mentioned that Gretchen Quarterman had been on the radio that same morning
\ntalking about those notices
\n(in her role as an appointed Lowndes County Tax Assessor).
\nEveryone be aware that notice is not a tax bill.
\nThe actual tax amount will also depend on what the County Commission decides for millage.<\/p>\n
