\r\nThe\r\n\r\nHydrogen Generator<\/a> for the Crime Lab\r\nwill come out of $36,000 from the General Fund.\r\n“This is the equipment that is used for drug\r\nidentification and blood alcohol testing.”\r\n

\r\nThe two Grant Selection Committees will dispense funds from the\r\n$16,254,692 allocated to Valdosta by the federal government\r\nin an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant, of which $8,127,346 has been received to date.\r\nThe City Council previously allocated\r\n\r\n$945,000 for nonprofits<\/a>\r\nand\r\n\r\n$1,000,000 for small businesses<\/a>.\r\nThese Committees will decide which organizations get the funds.\r\nYou probably recognize many of the names on the committee candidate lists.\r\n
