\r\nTwo small lot variances in Hahira<\/a>, two small lot rezonings in Lowndes County<\/a>,\r\nthree small rezonings in Valdosta<\/a>,\r\nand one big annexation and rezoning by Valdosta,\r\n\r\n35 acres for Murray Staten Farms, LLC, 3550 Lake Laurie Drive<\/a>,\r\nall on the agenda this evening for the Greater Lowndes Planning Commission (GLPC).\r\nGLPC recommends, and the elected bodies decide.\r\nFor an annexation, the Lowndes County Commission will have to state whether it objects\r\nbefore the Valdosta Mayor and Council decide.\r\n

\r\nThere’s no parcel listed for 3550 Lake Laurie Drive by the Lowndes County Tax Assessors.\r\nWhy the agenda can’t just tell us which parcels is mysterious.\r\n

\r\nHowever, this parcel is where google maps finds that address:\r\n\r\n\r\n0108 001<\/a>, with 30.49 acres.\r\n

\r\nAdd to that the one just south of it,\r\n0109B 147D<\/a>, with 5.99 acres.\r\nThat totals 36.48 acres, which is close to 35 acres.\r\n

\r\nNot shown in the Tax Assessors maps is a creek that forms the boundary between\r\nthose two parcels, Cherry Creek South Branch.\r\nYou can see it on this VALORGIS map<\/a> as the twisty blue lines,\r\nalong with Valdosta sewer lines (green) and water lines (also blue, but mostly straight lines).\r\nThat VALORGIS map also shows the area of those parcels not in the Valdosta City Limits (outside the orange area).\r\n
