REZ-2021-09 Building Valdosta Subdivision (0070 018), R-A to R-21<\/a>.\r\nIt fronts on Val Del Road, but has no county water and sewer.\r\nCommissioner Scottie Orenstein wanted to know about the two creeks that run through it: see the notes below on the item.\r\n<p>\r\n<a href=\"#REZ-2021-11\">\r\n6.d. Dillard, presented the item\r\nstating the request is to add 45 lots of the Quarterman Estates\r\nSubdivision into the County&#8217;s Basic Decorative Street Lighting\r\nDistrict under the Street Lighting Ordinance. Mr. Dillard stated\r\nstaff 2has verified that the petitions are ready for consideration,\r\nnotice for those additions have been advertised in the newspaper,\r\nand signs have been posted for a public hearing. Commissioner Orenstein asked what is a\r\nbeer garden, Ms. Black responded it is where they will be selling\r\nbeer and wine on the premise. Mrs. Dukes stated every department at the work session\r\nmeeting contributed to the response in some way, with the majority\r\nof them being in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), including\r\n911 Director Danny Weeks and his team and Planning and Zoning\r\nDirector, JD Dillard, to help man the phones along with Code\r\nEnforcement Director, Mindy Bates. Mrs. Dukes stated, County\r\nEngineer, Mike Fletcher, was there taking a look at drainage due to\r\nall the water moving through Lowndes County. Mrs. Dukes further\r\nstated, Utilities Director, Steve Stalvey, had minimal issues but\r\nwas able to reach out and help Moody AFB, as they had a significant\r\nsituation that required some hardware that the County has and was\r\nable to loan them. Mrs. Dukes also stated, Human Resources Director,\r\nKevin Beals, and his department processed the first payroll of the\r\nnew fiscal year which involved changes from the Condrey Study. Mrs.\r\nDukes stated, there were a lot of moving parts and they did this\r\nthrough the storm. Finance Director, Stephanie Black worked from\r\nhome making changes that needed to be made from the back end. In\r\naddition, Mrs. Dukes stated ITS Director, Aaron Kostyu, and his\r\nstaff were in the EOC ensuring that there were no issues with\r\ntechnology. Chief Green and his crew were out front and center.\r\nThere was a limb that went through the front of a fire truck on Gil\r\nHarbin as those fire fighters were driving down the road.\r\nThankfully, there were minimal injuries in that accident. This was\r\nPublic Information Officer, Meghan Barwick&#8217;s, first storm handling\r\ncommunications and she did a fantastic job. Lastly, Mrs. Dukes\r\nstated great team, great response, and she is proud of everyone.\r\nChairman Slaughter thanked everyone.&rdquo;\r\n<\/p>\r\n<li>\r\n<a name=\"Adjournment\" href=\"#Adjournment\">\r\n11.
