\r\nThe biggest item on this week’s Lowndes County Commission agenda, for voting this eventing,\r\nis\r\n\r\nGrounds Maintenance<\/a>.\r\nPlanting some native shrubbery, flowers, and trees instead of all that lawn\r\nwould reduce that cost.\r\n

\r\nThree sewage system items add up, for\r\nWhitewater Lift Station Control Panel Emergency Repair<\/a>,\r\nBemiss Low Pressure Sewer Main Replacement Change Order<\/a>,\r\nand\r\nthe\r\n\r\n$2,500,000.00 GEFA Loan<\/a> for the Sewer System Rehabilitation Project.\r\nThat last does not show up in the agenda sheet as BUDGET IMPACT,\r\nbut county taxpayers will pay for it over time.\r\nHowever, proactive sewer system fixes are lot better than reactive\r\nsewage spill repairs.\r\n

\r\nFour courts in three agenda items require cash match.\r\nPlus a road work truck and pest control round out the dollar figures.\r\n\r\n\r\n
