\nThis is a welcome change from when\nformer Chairman Ashley Paulk\n\nstopped Jessica Bryan Hughes at 4 minutes 39 seconds on 24 May 2011<\/a>\nand\n\n \nSpeaking of five minutes, that’s the time limit set by the Commission\nin its own\n\nPolicies and Procedures for Citizens Wishing to be Heard<\/a>:\n<\/p>\n \nMaybe the Commission would like to follow its own ordinance?\n<\/p>\n\n\n \nThis clock behind the Commissioners is only\n\nsixteen months since I suggested it to them,<\/a>\nand\n\nseventeen months since I sent them and the County Clerk email with\nthat suggestion,<\/a>\nwhich is lightning speed for this County Commission.\nValdosta City Council has been doing this for years.\nThe Valdosta Board of Education has\na plain old wall clock where everybody can see it,<\/a>\nand they put their agendas online in web-readable form (instead of only PDF).\nHm, that could be a next step in transparency for the Lowndes County Commission!\n<\/p>\n \n-jsq\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Lowndes County Commission has deployed a clock!
