Presently, OpenAustin<br \/>\nfocuses on ensuring that all local public sector agencies embrace open<br \/>\ndata and open government principles, provide adequate oversight over<br \/>\npublic information, and support the civic software development.<\/p>\n<p>\nThrough a series of conversations, common ground was developed between the<br \/>\nCity and Open Austin to work together in a formal and recurring way. The<br \/>\ngoal is to develop new capacities for the City of Austin website while<br \/>\nreducing or eliminating costs.<\/p>\n<p>\nA strategic alliance document has been created by Open Austin and the City<br \/>\nrepresents the expectations and the basis for the working relationship. In<br \/>\norder to advance this partnership relationship, the City and OpenAustin<br \/>\nwill partner, innovate and improve.<\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/open-austin.org\"><br \/>\nhttp:\/\/open-austin.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/group.php?gid=90275885408\"><br \/>\nhttp:\/\/www.facebook.com\/group.php?gid=90275885408<\/a>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Starting with one thing, web strategy, led to general open government.<br \/>\nThey even have a<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/open-austin.org\/austin_city_council_voter_election_guide_2011.html\">candidate questionnaire.<\/a><br \/>\nWhich most of the candidates have answered.<\/p>\n<p>\n-jsq<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OpenAustin: speakupaustin!
