As part of this effort, the community’s
\nhelp is being requested to develop the best strategy possible for the city.
\nThe EECS will take the form of a report to the city, helping us decide what
\nwe want to achieve and then providing a strategy for getting us there. In
\nparticular, the EECS provides guidance for future decisions to make sure our
\nchoices reflect a smart and sustainable energy policy. One provides an
\neasy way to suggest projects for inclusion in the EECS. The second asks
\nabout goals that should be included in the EECS. To keep the project
\nmoving, responses to these questionnaires are requested by May 20, 2011.
\nThere is also a contact link on the website that can be used to ask specific
\nquestions or make additional recommendations. The EECS will be developed
\nduring the summer months, and a draft document presented to the City Council
\nin the fall. Final adoption is anticipated prior to year’s end.<\/p>\n
\nCitizens may submit questions about the survey via
\nwww.energyvaldosta.com<\/a>,
\nand by clicking the
\n“Email Questions and Comments” link on the left side of the page.
