Sometimes you hear what you need to hear at the end of the meeting.
\nOr, maybe you’re not there to hear it.<\/p>\n

\nI think it helps make
\nthe point if you need to first listen to the City Manager’s Report
\nbefore you hear what happened at the end of this video.

City Manager’s Report<\/H2>

\nSecond night of classes [for something] is this coming Monday.<\/p>\n

\nPolice Department review April 16-19 including a public hearing April 18th 6PM
\nat the City Hall Annex.<\/p>\n

\nElectronic recycling was very successful.<\/p>\n

\nComposting program “very unique”: they give it away free three days a week;
\nbring your own truck.<\/p>\n

\nMatt Martin promoted from interim planning director to full time.<\/p>\n

\nCity’s table is #17 at the event tonight [100 Black Men annual dinner].<\/p>\n

\nEmployee appreciation luncheon Thursday April 21 at [?] Park.<\/p>\n

\nNext meeting one council member will serve on committee about comprehensive plan.
\n

Thank you to those citizens … who have been here for the whole

\nThere are a lot of them who do not stay.
\nJust as important as biomass,
\neverything that we do on a bi-weekly basis
\nand I appreciate you being here.
\nNo matter what you say up front,
\nthe fact that you’re going to sit here
\nand listen to the busines that we’re doing is important,
\nand I appreciate it.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nCouncil White asked about the time for the appreciation dinner.
\nCity Manager clarified it was 11:30-1:30.<\/p>\n

\n[Some interchange that I can’t quite make out.]<\/p>\n

\nMayor said Mr. Hanson has reminded him that he had said
\nif citizens wanted to be heard after the meeting he would stay.
\nHe suggested first that he’d stay after adjournment,
\nand then he suggested that any council members who
\nwanted to leave could do so. One did; the rest of the council stayed.<\/p>\n

\nThe only person to stand up to speak was
\nScott Orenstein<\/a>.
\nThe days when I agree with both Robert Yost and Scott Orentein are rare,
\nbut that was such a day.<\/p>\n
