\r\nHere is Lowndes County’s SPLOST VIII Project List.\r\nThe biggest items are water and sewer at $23 million\r\nand sports at $13,274,912,\r\nfollowed by the historic Courthouse at $12 million.\r\nNote nothing about\r\n\r\n Internet speed or access,\r\ndespite that being supposedly a high priority since the last SPLOST.\r\n

\r\nDon Davis asks me to note that the $150,000 “improvements to historic Carnegie library museum facility” is for fixing leaks in the roof and other things\r\nthat need to be done to the building the county owns,\r\nand is not a contribution to the\r\n\r\nLowndes County Historical Society Museum<\/a>\r\nthat is housed in that building.\r\n

\r\nThe SPLOST VIII Agreement (2019 Election)<\/a>\r\nis on the LAKE website,\r\nalong with the project lists for\r\n\r\nValdosta<\/a>,\r\n\r\nRemerton<\/a>,\r\n\r\nHahira<\/a>,\r\n\r\nDasher<\/a>,\r\nand\r\n\r\nLake Park<\/a>.\r\n
