Update 2019-06-10:<\/strong> ZBOA denied almost all of the variances the same applicant requested<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nThe paintball-like game venue<\/a> that\r\nwas\r\n\r\nsurprisingly contentious at the Planning Commission<\/a>,\r\nis on the agenda for Monday and Tuesday at the Lowndes County Commission.\r\nGLPC voted 5-1 to table<\/a> until the June Planning Commission meeting,\r\nbut the Planning Commission is merely a recommending body:\r\nit does not decide rezonings.\r\nThe county’s agenda sheet says\r\n“The TRC considered this request and had no objectionable comments, and staff finds the request consistent\r\nwith the Comprehensive Plan.”\r\nThe County Commission could decide to ignore the Planning Commission and\r\napprove this rezoning anyway.\r\n

\r\nThe\r\n\r\nSheriff’s department wants<\/a> to \r\nbuy laptops and handheld citation thingies<\/a>\r\nfor\r\n$85,934.66.\r\n

\r\n\r\nIT wants some cyber-threat-detection service<\/a>, at unknown cost.\r\n

\r\nAll that and some bids for vehicles.\r\n
