Nathan\nDeal signed into law Monday.\n<p>\nSenate Bill 122 &#8220;is particularly useful at times such as these when budget\ncutbacks hinder our ability to invest in new infrastructure,&#8221; Deal said\nat a Georgia Chamber of Commerce luncheon in his honor. &#8220;This stretches\npublic dollars by attracting partners to move forward with public works\nprojects that will benefit the citizens of the state for generations.&#8221;\n<p>\nLawmakers approved $46 million in bond money in the state budget\nthat takes effect July 1 to help facilitate the construction of new\nreservoirs. Deal said he hopes to increase that to $300 million over\nthe next several years.\n<p>\n&#8220;Increasing our water supply in terms of holding that supply is critical\nfor meeting our future needs,&#8221; Deal said.\n<\/blockquote>\nYes, but trumping up a fake budget crisis by giving tax breaks to\npeople who don&#8217;t need them and then using it to privatize\npublic infrastructure for corporate profit at taxpayer expense\nis not the way to do it.\n<p>\nWait, it gets even better:\n\n<!--more-->\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gpb.org\/news\/2011\/02\/18\/bill-would-allow-public-private-reservoirs\">\nGPB adds this:<\/a>\n<blockquote>\nThe bill would allow private firms to be compensated through water service\npayments, user fees or in other forms.
