\nthe county rezoning
\nbefore the Lowndes County Commission<\/a> today,
\n
\nREZ-2019-04 Southeastern Freight Line<\/a>,
\nwas
\n
\nreviewed by the Planning Commission last month<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>\n<\/p>\n

\n

\nThe TRC considered this request. Zoning found this request
\ninconsistent with the Comprehensive Plan. There were no other
\nobjectionable comments.\n<\/p>\n

\nStaff found<\/p>\n

the request overall consistent with the Goals and
\nPolicies of the Comprehensive Plan, however, inconsistent with the
\nCharacter Area Map and offers the following condition: The use of
\nthe property shall be limited to the principal use of a terminal for
\nfreight by truck and accessory uses incidental and subordinate to
\nsuch a facility.\n<\/p>\n

\nThe GLPC heard this request at their February regular meeting and
\nrecommended for its approval with the condition offered by Staff by
\na 7-0 vote. For reference, the applicant’s agent was present to
\nanswer any questions and no one spoke against the request at the
\npublic hearing.\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\nI would like to commend Lowndes County for the website redesign.
\nThe new image at the top now looks like a respectable government,
\nwith pine trees subtly illustrating the region,
\ninstead of the old advertisement for four-wheelers.
\nPlus it loads in less than an eon, so we can get to the useful links
\nsuch as to agendas.<\/p>\n
