\nWhy does the county leave us guessing and not just name who resigned,
\nand say who Michael Smith is?
\nMaybe they’ll say at the Lowndes County Commission Work Session this morning at 8:30 AM,
\nor maybe when they vote tomorrow at 5:30 PM.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a>\n<\/p>\n

\n“Mr. Michael Smith has expressed interest in being appointed to” the
\nValdosta-Lowndes County Conference Center And Tourism Authority,
\nsays<\/p>\n

the agenda sheet<\/a>. It doesn’t say who Michael Smith is.
\nAnd it doesn’t say who resigned,
\nbut it had to be one of the three county appointees<\/a>:
\nRobert Jefferson, David Motley, or Molly Deese.
\nProbably not Molly Deese, Vice President and General Manager at Wild Adventures Theme Park<\/a>,
\nwho recently announced
\nan expansion of the park<\/a>.
\nI’d guess not Robert Jefferson, so my guess is David Motley.<\/p>\n

\nFor that matter, the county could say in advance when a vacancy occurs
\nand ask for applications.<\/p>\n

\nAlso on the agenda<\/a> are roads and telecommunications. And alcohol.<\/p>\n
