\r\nWhy does the county leave us guessing and not just name who resigned,\r\nand say who Michael Smith is?\r\nMaybe they’ll say at the Lowndes County Commission Work Session this morning at 8:30 AM,\r\nor maybe when they vote tomorrow at 5:30 PM.\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\n“Mr. Michael Smith has expressed interest in being appointed to” the\r\nValdosta-Lowndes County Conference Center And Tourism Authority, \r\nsays\r\n\r\n\r\nthe agenda sheet<\/a>. It doesn’t say who Michael Smith is.\r\nAnd it doesn’t say who resigned,\r\nbut it had to be one of the three county appointees<\/a>:\r\nRobert Jefferson, David Motley, or Molly Deese.\r\nProbably not Molly Deese, Vice President and General Manager at Wild Adventures Theme Park<\/a>,\r\nwho recently announced\r\nan expansion of the park<\/a>.\r\nI’d guess not Robert Jefferson, so my guess is David Motley.\r\n

\r\nFor that matter, the county could say in advance when a vacancy occurs\r\nand ask for applications.\r\n

\r\nAlso on the agenda<\/a> are roads and telecommunications. And alcohol.\r\n
