Williams replied in the VDT today to\n\nmy op-ed of 6 January.<\/a>\nHis information seems a bit out of date.\nFor example, he cites\n\nProgress Energy’s Crystal River nuke<\/a>\nas a good example, when it’s been\n\ndown since 2009<\/a>\nand is still\n\nproducing zero percent power<\/a>,\nboth according to the NRC.\nReaders of this blog know that\n\nthe blog version of my op-ed<\/a>\nalready links to sources for everything I said.\nI may respond more later, but no doubt there are other people\nwho want to get involved in this discussion.\nAnd I do thank Forrest H. Williams for airing the sort of disinformation\nthat is out there, so others can dispel it.\n<\/p>\n

Oh, and saying water that is evaporated is not lost is like saying trees that are burned are not lost. Evaporated water is not available for agricultural or wildlife or drinking water use, and thus is indeed lost.<\/p>\n\n\n
