SPLOST VII collections began January 1, 2014 and will end December 31, 2019.\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nBelow is what Chad McLeod said, pretty near verbatim, transcribed from the LAKE video.\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>\r\nAt 911 construction is substantially complete.\r\nThe consoles you approved are to be delivered today and installed this week as well.\r\n<li>\r\nNorth Lowndes Soccer Complex: the site is 80% cleared.\r\nReames started building the access road two weeks ago,\r\nbut it is too wet to continue.\r\nWe hope to start back this week.\r\nOur only entrance road is right behind the current restroom.\r\n<li>\r\nThe fire warehouse classroom: all construction is complete,\r\nall necessary furniture is set up, and training monitors are to be set up.\r\n<li>\r\nThe one everybody is asking about: \r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=p7L40qFUP0s&#038;index=9&#038;t=1m\">\r\nthe boat ramp<\/a>.\r\nAll clearing was completed in February of the boat ramp area.\r\nWhen we started that project, the river was too high to complete\r\nthe actual ramp.\r\nSo the staff is actually moving back in tomorrow, to actually complete  that project.\r\nIt will take about two weeks to complete the driveway upgrades,\r\nand then we&#8217;ll actually start grading the ramp.\r\nAnd DNR is actually going to help us when we start\r\nthe actual ramp portion.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nPritchard asked, &ldquo;Chad, will you explain to them how they are going to do the ramp.&rdquo;\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nA: The ramp is actually push-in, what we call a push-in slab.\r\nWe will pour it on the land, and then push it into the river.\r\nLeaving about a foot, two foot, outside that we can tie into.\r\nAnd that actual concrete slab will slide on top of rocks that we grade\r\ninto the river with a long escalator bucket.\r\nAnd that&#8217;s the part DNR is going to help us with:\r\nthe actual push in part.\r\nThey have some staff that has done it before\r\nand have agreed to help us with that part.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\n[For background about the boat ramp and pictures of the site, see\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/wwals.net\/2018\/09\/16\/naylor-boat-ramp-status-lcc-2018-09-10\/\">\r\ntoday&#8217;s WWALS blog post<\/a>.]\r\n<li>\r\nThe animal shelter. Staff has been working with an architect.\r\nWe came up with several different working designs.\r\nWe are currently in the process of reprogramming the final design for layout\r\nfor animals, people: staff and the general public.\r\nWe&#8217;ll be bringing that soon with a couple of different options so we can move\r\nforward with that projecg.\r\n<li>\r\nThe courthouse renovation project is currently out for RFQs.\r\nA mandatory meeting with architects was held\r\non August 21, 2018.\r\nWe had a total of eight architects that attended.\r\nThose RFQs are due September 11, tomorrow.\r\nAt which time staff and a committee will start to review those,\r\nnarrow that down to three,\r\nand then bring a selection to the board for approval.\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nCommissioners had no questions.\r\nChairman Bill Slaughter thanked Chad McLeod for the update.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<li>\r\n<a name=\"Adjournment\" href=\"#Adjournment\">\r\n      12.
