\r\nShould\r\n\r\nthe County Manager and the Finance Director<\/a>\r\nbe able to approve\r\n\r\n2.5 times as much in dollar value<\/a>\r\non budgeted items as they currently can?\r\n

\r\nAlso a rezoning\r\nto reconfigure for two parcels<\/a>\r\nand another\r\nto permit personal care homes<\/a>,\r\nplus a\r\n911 CALEA Re-Accreditation Presentation<\/a>\r\nare\r\non\r\n\r\nthe agenda<\/a> for 8:30 AM this morning at the Work Session\r\nand tomorrow evening’s voting Regular Session.\r\n

\r\n\r\n\"2015-03-09<\/a>\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nThe rezoning\r\nREZ-2018-16 Stovall, 6002 N. Oak St. Ext.<\/a>\r\nto permit personal care homes is\r\n\r\n“as a result of a potential buyer’s interest in developing the property into an assisted living facility”<\/a>.\r\nThis same Tuesday, the same property is on\r\n\r\nZBOA’s agenda<\/a>\r\nfor a variance on the buffer condition.\r\n

\r\nThe 2015-03-10 agenda<\/a> for the earlier rezoning from R-21 to C-G, Well & Other did not say anything specifically about private care facilities,\r\nnor did the\r\n\r\n agenda sheet<\/a>; it was all about the vegetative buffer.\r\nBack then\r\nat the 2015-03-09 Work Session<\/a>\r\nCounty Planner Jason Davenport said he was approached by a realtor<\/a>, and when questioned by Commissioner Demarcus Marshall said he did not say what sort of commercial use might be intended.\r\n

\r\nAt the 2015-03-10 Regular Session<\/a>,\r\nCommissioner Demarcus Marshall wanted to know if there would be any difficulty\r\nin eventually connecting to county water and sewer. Answer: no.\r\nMarshall moved to approve with the condition for the buffer, plus\r\na condition prohibiting personal care homes, whether individual or group.\r\nCommissioner Joyce Evans seconded.\r\nThey and Commissioners Scottie Orenstein, Mark Wisenbaker, and Clay Griner all voted aye.\r\n

\r\nThose are all the same Commissioners as are considering this new rezoning.\r\nNone of them said why that second condition about personal care homes was added.\r\nAnd nothing in the current agenda says why they might remove it now,\r\nother that bit in\r\n\r\nthe current agenda sheet<\/a> about “a potential buyer’s interest”.\r\n
