\r\nThree items were approved unanimously:\r\n\r\n VAR-2018-08 — Graham (4544 Loch Laurel Road, Valdosta)<\/a>,\r\n\r\n VAR-2018-10 — Loch Laurel Club (Loch Laurel Road, Valdosta)<\/a>,\r\n\r\nand\r\n VAR-2018-12 — Ramos (2703 Highway 41 South, Valdosta)<\/a>,\r\nwhile\r\n\r\n VAR-2018-11 — Lucia Marrero (5594 Shiloh Road, Hahira)<\/a>\r\nsqueaked by on a split vote.\r\n

    \r\nAfter request from the applicant,\r\n\r\nZBOA voted\r\nto table this item<\/a> until the next meeting, which will be June 5, 2018.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

  3. \r\n\r\n VAR-2018-08 — Graham (4544 Loch Laurel Road, Valdosta)<\/a><\/strong>\r\n
    Request<\/strong> for a \r\n
    variance<\/strong> to ULDC\r\nChapters 6.01.02 and 4.04.03(D) as it pertains to access (road\r\nfrontage)\r\n

    \r\nStarts at\r\n5 minutes 37 seconds<\/a>.\r\nOn a motion by Board member Gretchen Quarterman and a second by Nancy Hobby,\r\nthey\r\n\r\nvoted unanimously to approve the variance as requested citing Criterion B<\/a>.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

  4. \r\n\r\n VAR-2018-09 — Indo American Cultural Society of South<\/a><\/strong>\r\nGeorgia (2117 Westside Road,\r\nValdosta) \r\n
    Request<\/strong> for a \r\n
    variance<\/strong> to ULDC Chapters 4.07.06(C) and\r\n4.07.05 as they pertain to\r\nbuffer area standards and landscape requirements for parking lots\r\n

    \r\nBegins\r\n\r\n17 minutes 12 seconds<\/a>.\r\nThere was discussion of wetlands (apparently they don’t plan to\r\naffect those) and vegetative buffers (they plan to expand those\r\nat least next to one landowner).\r\nThe applicant was not there, but that’s not a requirement.\r\nThey noted that<\/a>\r\neither side could appeal to Lowndes County Zoning Administrator\r\nCarmella Braswell, and if that isn’t successful, to appeal\r\nwithin 30 days in Superior Court.\r\nA motion\r\n\r\nto table by\r\nGretchen Quarterman<\/a> passed 4:3.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

  5. \r\n\r\n VAR-2018-10 — Loch Laurel Club (Loch Laurel Road,<\/a><\/strong>\r\nValdosta) \r\n

    variance<\/strong> to\r\nULDC Table 4.03.23(D) as it pertains to the supplemental standards\r\nfor outdoor recreation\r\nfacilities\r\n

    \r\nBegins\r\n45 minutes 8 seconds<\/a>.\r\nDiscussion about one year period for building in the setback.\r\nNancy Hobby moved to approve with various conditions,\r\nwith a second by Paul Alvarado,\r\nand that passed unanimously.<\/a>\r\n<\/p>\r\n

  6. \r\n\r\n VAR-2018-11 — Lucia Marrero (5594 Shiloh Road, Hahira)<\/a><\/strong>\r\n

    variance<\/strong> to ULDC\r\nTable 4.01.03(E) as it pertains to the minimum side yard setbacks\r\n

    \r\nBegins\r\n1 hour 8 minutes<\/a>.\r\nMotion by Paul Hogan\r\n\r\nto grant the variance as presented with no conditions citing Criterion C<\/a>,\r\nseconded by Paul Alvarado, passed with two opposed.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
