{"id":1932,"date":"2011-06-08T09:24:12","date_gmt":"2011-06-08T13:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2011\/06\/sterling-planet-wants-to-buy-biomass-site.html"},"modified":"2011-06-08T09:24:12","modified_gmt":"2011-06-08T13:24:12","slug":"sterling-planet-wants-to-buy-biomass-site","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2011\/06\/sterling-planet-wants-to-buy-biomass-site.html","title":{"rendered":"Sterling Planet wants to buy biomass site"},"content":{"rendered":"Why would Sterling Planet want to buy the biomass site,\nunless they want to come back later and propose to build a biomass plant\non it?\nFunny how the Industrial Authority didn&#8217;t mention this when\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/06\/biomass-down-for-now-next.html\">they said Sterling Planet missed the June 1 deadline\nfor building the biomass plant.<\/a>\n<p>\nHere&#8217;s the relevant part of\n<a href=\"http:\/\/valdostadailytimes.com\/local\/x1315242419\/Wiregrass-LLC-to-buy-unused-land-at-biomass-facility-site\">\nthis morning&#8217;s VDT story by David Rodock:<\/a>\n<blockquote>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.industrialauthority.com\/index.php\/wiregrasspowerllc.html\">\n<img style=\"float:right;border:none;\"\nwidth=\"288\"\nheight=\"186\"\nsrc=\"http:\/\/www.industrialauthority.com\/images\/stories\/Project%20Silver%20Plant%20Layout-Lovall%20(14%20JAN%2009).jpg\"><\/a>\nThe other major announcement at the meeting was the possibility of\nWiregrass LLC exercising the option to purchase the 22.2-acre tract of\nland that was originally planned to be used for the biomass facility.\n<p>\n&#8220;We gave them the option to purchase the land based on certain terms\nand conditions,&#8221; said Gupton. &#8220;They basically sent us a certified\nletter prior to June 1 stating they wished to exercise their option to\npurchase the 22.2-acre tract of land within 60 days.&#8221;\n<p>\n&#8220;We are currently looking at the letter to understand if we agree\nif they have that option and will continue our due diligence,&#8221; said\nAllan Ricketts, project manager, via conference call. &#8220;We don&#8217;t know\nanything other than they have sent us a certified letter indicating that\nthey would like to pursue that option.&#8221;\n<\/blockquote>\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/05\/its-not-over-until-its-over.html\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\"   src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3321\/5713829875_b1ce010991_m.jpg\"><\/a>\nAnd why don&#8217;t you know anything other?\nCan nobody pick up the phone and call Sonny Murphy and ask him?\nYou remember him, the Chairman of Sterling Planet\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/05\/its-not-over-until-its-over.html\">\nwho recently said:<\/a>\n<blockquote>\nIt&#8217;s not over until it&#8217;s over.\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\n-jsq\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Why would Sterling Planet want to buy the biomass site, unless they want to come back later and propose to build a biomass plant on it?
