\r\nThey\r\n\r\nlist the three applicants<\/a> for\r\n\r\nZBOA<\/a>, Victoria Copeland, Michael Cooper, Mike Elkins, but they do not supply the actual applications.\r\nThese are for two slots, currently held by Dr. Willie Houseal,\r\nwho does not wish to be reappointed, and ZBOA Vice Chairman Gretchen Quarterman, who does.\r\n

\r\nBoth the\r\n\r\nrezoning cases<\/a>\r\nhave different applicant names than\r\n\r\nthe Planning Commission listed two weeks ago<\/a>,\r\nthis time as\r\nREZ-2017-05 Jay Carter<\/a> rezoning from R-A to R-1 for subdividing for independent sale and\r\nREZ-2017-04 Rieffel<\/a> rezoning to CON and E-A for animals.\r\nREZ-2017-04 is located at 3621 SE Johnson Road,\r\nwhich is just north of Mud Swamp Creek, which downstream joins with\r\nGrand Bay Creek to form the Alapahoochee River, which flows into the Alapaha,\r\ninto the Suwannee, into the Gulf.\r\n

\r\nAfter the\r\nregional T-Splost roundtable meeting 1PM Monday, April 17, 2017, in Pearson<\/a>,\r\nthe Lowndes County Commission this week votes to\r\n\t\t\tTake action to support or oppose Regional T-SPLOST<\/a>.\r\nIf I understand correctly, 10 of the 18 counties in the region\r\nvoted to form the roundtable, which is why it met,\r\nand now the roundtable must appoint its executive committee and chair,\r\nand then decide whether to hold a T-SPLOST referendum, as well as picking projects to be on it.\r\nAll I’ve heard the roundtable decided so far was not to try to get\r\nit on the ballot this November, rather maybe in May 2018.\r\nPresumably this week the Lowndes County Commission will vote on its opinion on who should on the executive committee, who should be the chair (both Lowndes County Chairman Bill Slaughter and Valdosta Mayor John Gayle have been nominated), and maybe something about what projects should be considered.\r\nAll while it’s pretty clear from past episodes that\r\nthe Lowndes County Commission would prefer to do its own T-SPLOST,\r\nbut can’t until after this regional T-SPLOST is resolved.\r\n

\r\nAnd no Lowndes County Commission\r\nagenda<\/a>\r\nseems commplete without a\r\nLift Station Pump Repair<\/a>, this one on US 84 for $16,687.20.\t\r\nSee also\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nthe LAKE videos of the preceding Greater Lowndes Planning Commission meeting<\/a>.\r\n
