It has concluded that even a five year lapse without\na national clean energy policy would\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.org\/energyinnovation\/speed.html\">\ncost<\/a> the United States an aggregate\nUS$2.3-3.2 trillion in unrealized GDP gains and 1.2-1.4 million net jobs.\n<\/blockquote>\nThe study was about renewable energy in general, but:\n\n<!--more-->\n<blockquote>\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/06\/solar-cheaper-than-fossil-power-in-five-years-mark-m-little-of-ge.html\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\"   src=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/apps\/data?pid=avimage&#038;iid=ikqSp2NOc7FE\"><\/a>\nGoogle concluded that the first renewable energy sources that become\nmore economical than fossil fuels will win the future.
