\n\n<\/a>\nCommissioners discussed several items much more than last year’s Commission\nat this morning’s Work Session; they vote 5:30 PM tonight at their Regular Session.\nHowever, you’d think with an\n\nankle monitoring program<\/a> Commissioners praised so highly,\nthey’d want the public to know the details.\nNope, still none of the documents related to that nor any of the other\nitems they were discussing were revealed to the tax-paying public.\nThey don’t have a press release about that,\nnor about the\nParade of Champions<\/a>\nthe Chairman talked about\n(twice<\/a>)\neven though it wasn’t on the agenda.\nHe was silent, however, on who the\n\ncandidates for the Airport Authority<\/a>\nare, and none of them were present.\n<\/p>\n

\nThat’s four reports that were not on the agenda:\n\nParade<\/a> of Champions,\n\nankle<\/a> monitoring,\nthe county’s wellness program<\/a>\nand\nthe upcoming Bird Supper.<\/a>\n<\/p>\n

    \nNot on the agenda,\nChairman Slaughter talked about\nthe\n    \nParade of Champions<\/a>, which he said would be\n4PM 30 January 2013,\nas a joint effort between\n\nthe City of Valdosta<\/a> and\nthe\nLowndes County Commission,\nhonoring the last three national championship teams out of Valdosta\nState University.\n<\/p>\n

    \nThat’s a huge asset to this community and\nwhat it adds to the TitleTown title that we have.\n<\/blockquote>\n

    \nSounds great, and\n\nVSU<\/a>\nand\n\nValdosta<\/a>\nhave press releases about it, but the county doesn’t.\nChairman did\nsay more later in the same meeting<\/a>,\nbut that’s not quite the same.\n<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
