Norman Bennett.\nAnyway, that&#8217;s quite the irony coming from a director of an organization\nthat raised $15 million in debt\n\n<!--more-->\non top of its $3 million a year in taxes\nand got Lowndes County to hastily agree to <a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/06\/how-did-lowndes-county-approve-a-contract-with-vlcia-that-could-force-raising-taxes.html\">a contract that forces the county to raise\ntaxes if necessary to cover VLCIA&#8217;s profligate borrowing!<\/a>\n<p>\nWhile I do recommend VLCIA\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/06\/andrea-shuijers-opportunity-john-s-quarterman.html\">\nsell off some of its hoard of wasteful acres<\/a>,\nI don&#8217;t think that\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/07\/biomass-plant-land-offer-industrial-authority-board-meets-this-morning.html\">\nselling it for use as a biomass plant<\/a>\nin the latest of a long series of surreptitious\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/06\/w.html\">\nspecial called meetings<\/a>\nis the best way to go about it.\n<p>\nHow about local legislators such as the appointed VLCIA board come around to what the local community wants, which is jobs through <a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/06\/renewable-sustainable-energy-network-vlcoc.html\">\nrenewable and sustainable energy?<\/a>\n<p>\n-jsq\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Member of big-borrowing business board bashes borrowing.
