Reports - Chad McLeod gives engineering Project Update\r\n    \" src=\"https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/B_qPAR6ejWk\/hqdefault.jpg?custom=true&#038;w=120&#038;h=90&#038;jpg444=true&#038;jpgq=90&#038;sp=68&#038;sigh=YaSyQR2I9z9JYB-t_ucNhjbKmrg\"><\/a>\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=B_qPAR6ejWk&#038;list=PLshUv86fYkiEF2Y5I2ZymdRgVERvu4fLU&#038;index=12\">Video.<\/a>\r\nCounty Manager Joe Pritchard asked Chad McLeod to report on SPLOST projects.\r\nThe Freedom Park Basketball court is completed, except for painting delayed by hurricane.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nLowndes County civic center renovations are complete.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nThey&#8217;ve bid the Naylor Boat Ramp twice, and both times bids were well over the county&#8217;s budget.\r\n\r\nStaff is working with DNR and others to see if county&#8217;s construction staff can do some of the work so they can hire in contractors to do the rest, staying under budget.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nNaylor community center is architected except for health department sizing the septic tank; then they will go out for bids by December.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nLibrary selected Celine Gladwin for design; she&#8217;s 50% complete.\r\nAlan Sanderson is leading that project.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nSoccer complex had meeting in August; 70% complete with plans.\r\nWetlands on project.\r\nEnvironmental engineer is delineating; takes 9 months to get permit.\r\nExpect to break ground in July 2017.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nChildren&#8217;s Advocacy Center on CDBG grant will bid November 15th; has already been advertised in newspaper.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nFire station improvements: completed renovations south side; 80% completed north side; architect completing plans for classroom buildout at warehouse.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nHe said that was all the current active projects.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<li>\r\n<a name=\"Adjournment\" href=\"#Adjournment\">\r\n      10.
