\nAs David Rodock wrote in the VDT the next day,\n\nCitizens speak against Cat Creek crowding:\nDisapprove of the proposal to build residential areas<\/a>\n \nThere was some discussion among the Commissioners\nabout whether to vote on the rezoning now,\nor since\n\nit turned out there was no deal between\nthe developer and the neighbors,<\/a>\nto table until next meeting.\n \nHere’s\n\nthe video:<\/a>\n \n\nBill Nijem, representative of the applicant, brought forward information\ndemonstrating his client\u2019s willingness to work with neighbors, in\nthat lot sizes were increased by 20 percent and that the average lot\nsize would range from a minimum of 12,000 square feet to 20,000 square\nfeet. Nijem also reminded commissioners that the applicant was willing to\ninstall any necessary buffers or fences to prevent children from playing\nin the neighboring fields and would have water and sewer installed with\nhis own financial resources.\n<\/blockquote>\nCarolyn Selby reminds me that Mr. Nijem didn’t say\n\n\nthe developers\nor builders would put the fences; he\nseemed to be saying each lot owner would have to do that.\nI can tell you how well that works:<\/a>\nI had to sue a builder and then I still had to go to each lot owner\nnext to my field.\n\n
