\nMaybe they think they sufficiently discussed that\nat the budget hearing\n\nwhere no citizen questions were entertained.<\/a>\nAbout the budget\n\nthey refused to post online until after they approved it.<\/a>\n

\nSo, did they post it by that Friday, 1 July 2011,\nas County Manager Joe Pritchard promised?\n\n\nIf you look under Departments, Finance, then Finance Reports,\n\nit is now online on the county’s web pages.<\/a>\n(I don’t know since exactly when, since the\n\nthe county’s web pages don’t say.<\/a>)\n

\nIt is similar to (still says “FY 2012 Proposed” even after the Commission\napproved it) but slightly different from (pagination)\nthe version\n\nGretchen Quarterman photographed and LAKE published before the budget hearing.<\/a>\nThe actual dollar numbers appear (on a very brief spot-check) to be the same.\n

\n\n<\/a>\nThe version published on the county’s web pages\ndoes not, however, contain\nthe charts from\n\nFinance Director Stephanie Black’s presentation in the budget hearing.<\/a>\nYou still need to get those from LAKE.\nI don’t know why the county can’t publish them themselves.\n

\nThe Commission should be applauded for coming in with a budget very little\nchanged from previous years, considering the surrounding general financial\nsituation.\nMaybe they can become a bit more transparent about how they do it.\n
