The providers would have to be able\nto connect to the transmission system for Georgia Power or its sister\nutilities in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<!--more-->\n<blockquote>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.onlineathens.com\/stories\/072411\/new_861471234.shtml\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\"   src=\"http:\/\/www.seeklogo.com\/images\/G\/Georgia_Power-logo-DC98D8B895-seeklogo.com.gif\"><\/a>\nGeorgia Power says it plans to enter into 20-year agreements. The PSC\nunanimously approved the proposal, which was filed after PSC member\nLauren McDonald in June gave Georgia Power 30 days to come up with ideas\nfor large-scale solar energy projects.\n<p>\nGeorgia Power can currently buy up to 4.4 megawatts of solar power from\nindependent power producers, and collects the costs through a voluntary,\npremium-priced green power program.\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Previously I wrote PSC lining up to vote for solar and last week they went and did it.
