\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nRecord low attendance, not record but very short session time,\r\neven with a full agenda<\/a>;\r\nat least you can see last month’s last Lowndes County Commission Regular Session in these LAKE videos.\r\nThey meet again 8:30 AM this morning<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nSee also the LAKE videos of the May 23rd Work Session<\/a>.\r\nIn the May 24th Regular Session, there were\r\nstill no questions yesterday from Commissioners about that $55,979.00 in\r\n\r\ntwo<\/a> no-bid\r\nitems<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nCommissioner Demarcus Marshall did ask\r\n\r\n when the\r\nthe \r\n\r\nSouth Regional Joint Development Authority<\/a> meets.\r\nAnswer from County Manager Joe Pritchard:\r\nhe didn’t know; apparently irregularly whenever they feel like it.\r\nThey appointed\r\n\r\nAndrea Schruijer<\/a>\r\nand\r\nClay Griner, even though\r\n\r\nthe county’s web page on that Joint Authority<\/a>\r\nsays Andrea Schruijer is already on it.\r\nThey reappointed\r\ns Commissioner Joyce Evans\r\nto the\r\nSouthern Georgia Area Agency on Aging<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nCounty Engineer Mike Fletcher said\r\nhe did “a one-day traffic count” of\r\n\r\nthe Beaver Lane<\/a>\r\n(which previously came up in 2002 and was denied).\r\nHe asked the Commissioners to decide to hold a public hearing, and they did.\r\nCounty Manager once again\r\n\r\nsaid<\/a> he’d received\r\nan annexation request from Hahira for the W. Main St. property<\/a> and he indicated no grounds for the county to protest.\r\nCommissioners voted they had no objections.\r\n

\r\nThere were no Citizens Wishing to Be Heard, and not even the regulars were in the audience.\r\nGretchen was the only non-Commissioner and non-county-employee in the room.\r\n
