Countless arterial roads less clogged!\nWell, except by\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/08\/suburbia-dangerous-for-pedestrians.html\">\npedestrians trying to scurry through the faster traffic.<\/a>\n<p>\nWhy, in the second decade of the 21st century,\ndo we continue with a failed traffic model from the\nmiddle of the 20th century?\nSeems to me <a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/08\/why-should-traffic-safety-not-be-a-pertinent-fact.html\">traffic safety should be\npertinent<\/a> and should include pedestrians.\nand instead of\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/08\/do-we-need-more-of-the-same-unsafe-roads.html\">more unsafe roads<\/a>\nmaking life unpleasant and unsafe for communities,\nwe could go for\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2010\/09\/communities-not-cul-de-sacs.html\">roads that serve communities<\/a>.\n<p>\n-jsq\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Atlanta at least included some public transport in its T-SPLOST list, although most of its list will more likely make problems worse for pedestrians.
