Rush Project Max? @ LCC 2016-01-11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLshUv86fYkiGd7wTuJOPgmpeEgKXoVxXt\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" src=\"http:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/E9WsO-m5IHs\/mqdefault.jpg\"><\/a>\r\nWhy did\r\nbridge repairs turn up on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLshUv86fYkiGd7wTuJOPgmpeEgKXoVxXt\">agenda<\/a> for yesterday morning&#8217;s Work Session and tonight&#8217;s Regular Session only after problems were reported by citizens (<a href=\"#Clyattville-Nankin-Road-Bridge-Repairs\">Clyattville Nankin Road<\/a>) or\r\nGDOT (<a href=\"#Jumping-Gully-Road-Bridge-Repairs\">Jumping Gully Road<\/a>)?\r\nAlso, <a href=\"<a name=\"Georgia-Department-of-Transportation-LMIG-Grant\" href=\"#Georgia-Department-of-Transportation-LMIG-Grant\">&#8220;>neither GDOT restriping nor county road resurfacing<\/a>\r\ntake into account the complete streets initiative for bike lanes or sidewalks, even though two Commissioners asked about that.\r\nHm, three Commissioners could vote to require it.\r\n<p>\r\nCounty Clerk didn&#8217;t have the\r\n<a href=\"#Order\">\r\nminutes<\/a> of December&#8217;s Work Session ready, so Lowndes County Commissioners will get very little time to review them before voting this evening.\r\n<p>This is the only county in Georgia that does not appoint its Tax Assessors,\r\nand the County Commission is considering <a href=\"#Appointment-of-Board-of-Tax-Assessors\">\r\na resolution<\/a> to ask the General Assembly to start the process to change that.\r\n\r\nFor hush-hush Project Max, the big-fish container manufacturing plant proposed for Rocky Ford Road,\r\nnext to the protected watershed of Mud Swamp and near Valdosta Airport,\r\nsee <a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2016\/01\/agenda-item-for-project-max-before-county-commission-lcc-2016-01-11.html\">separate post<\/a> for what little the public (or the Planning Commission) is allowed to know.\r\nAlso on\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/lowndescounty.com\/AgendaCenter\/ViewFile\/Agenda\/01122016-188?html=true\">the Lowndes County Commission agenda<\/a>\r\nfor Monday morning and voting Tuesday evening,\r\nare quite a few other items as the Commission catches up after the holidays.\r\n<p>\r\nBelow are links to each LAKE video of yesterday morning&#8217;s Work Session, followed by a video playlist.<!--more-->\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>\r\n<a name=\"Order\" href=\"#Order\">\r\n1. There is a list, including 2.39 miles of Old Lake Park Road, but since that one is being resurfaced, it&#8217;s being replaced on the list by Sekkinger (sp?) Road.\r\n<p style=\"font-style:normal\">\r\nCommissioner Demarcus Marshall asked if the complete streets initiative would cause this work to include bike lanes or sidewalks?
