It is the fourth time in four years\nthat Davis&#8217; execution has been scheduled by Georgia officials.\n<p>\nSteve Hayes, spokesman for the Board of Pardons and Paroles, said\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<!--more-->\n<blockquote>\nthe\npanel decided to rejected Davis&#8217;\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/98706376@N00\/6154211946\/in\/set-72157627686021808\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\"   src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6182\/6154211946_ca4206c3d5_m.jpg\"><\/a>\nrequest for clemency after hearing\nhours of testimony from his supporters and prosecutors. The board did\nnot elaborate on the decision in its written official response to the\nclemency application.\n<p>\nThe decision appeared to leave Davis with little chance of avoiding the\nexecution date. Bush, and Bill Clinton<\/a>,\nand <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ajc.com\/opinion\/should-davis-be-executed-1181530.html\">\nwho wrote in the AJC 15 September 2011,<\/a>\n<blockquote>\n&#8230;when it comes to the sentence of death, there should be no room for\ndoubt. I believe there is no more serious crime than the murder of a\nlaw enforcement officer who was putting his or her life on the line to\nprotect innocent bystanders.
